Knitting, Crocheting and Short Stories

We took advantage of the last warm days for a cozy gathering at the Grätzloase Oasenstattgasse. Here, we combined the reading of short stories with handicrafts like knitting and crocheting. Everyone was welcome, so drawing and painting were also part of the activities.

Listening to short stories while doing handicrafts complements each other very well. But do these seemingly very different media also have similarities? During the program, visitors were invited to reflect on how time manifests in their works compared to short stories, how an open ending could be shaped, and how the thread moves through stories and craft pieces.

The stories read included tales about tomcats, helmsmen on ships, and people who, in their enthusiasm for bees, become bees themselves.
